On 25th June 2009, people around the world got a huge shock when they got to know that the undisputed King of Pop – Michael Jackson had passed away. The music industry, critics, media, and especially the fans were shattered with this news because Michael Jackson was supposed to make a comeback with a series of ‘final’ concerts in London called “This is it” and the fans of the man were really looking forward on these final live performances, which incidentally had been the mega star’s forte. Even the tickets for the concerts were sold out months before the concerts were scheduled to happen.

It’s been almost 3 years since the director & musician duo of Mani Ratnam and A.R. Rahman worked together. They’ve earlier worked together for movies like Roja (1992), Chor Chor (1993), Bombay (1995), Dil Se (1998) and more recently Guru (2007). Looking at their consistently successful track record, it can be safely said that their combined efforts have produced some of the best soundtracks in the Indian Film Industry. And with Gulzar joining the bandwagon for Raavan, it sure seems to be a joyful ride for music lovers.

Fitting Tribute To The ‘King of Pop’

MoonwalkerMichael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) or Michael Jackson as he was popularly known, was one of the greatest artists of all time. It’s a real tragedy we lost him when he was most upbeat about making a comeback after a long and painful hiatus infamous for the scandals concerning both his personal and professional life.

But, as we move on and look back at the legend which he was, it’s not hard to see why he had made such a mark in the entertainment industry. Michael was a complete entertainer. He sang, he grooved and entertained his audience in a way which is rarely observed in any artist’s performance.
